1. Most people that annoy me on facebook are immediately deleted (as opposed to others that choose to post updates indirectly calling out others that get on their nerves), but sometimes my friends comment on statuses which bring said status to my newsfeed. Which allows me to read jewels like this..

There are some things that you just shouldn't post on the world wide web for all to see. Seriously..we really don't want to know about your tubes or your bleeding. If you wouldn't say it out loud in mixed company, don't post a status about it. Save it for a private message or your doctor's office. puhlease.

2. Why am I so addicted to reality television?

I guess I'm drawn in by the stupidity of some people.

And the lavish lifestyles of other.

It can also cause me to be thankful for the upbringing I've had. 

Jenelle and her mom speak to each other like dogs, and I can't imagine actually being a part of a family where that's normal.

3. I'm sooo proud of my sister!! She's survived another semester of college with ahhmazing grades.

4. Am I the only person that thought the latest Twilight movie was terrible? 

I only watched the movies because I had read the books. 

Kristen Stewart is a terrible actress.

 

The dialogue was awful.

The special effects were sub-par. We've all seen Transformers and know the capabilities of modern technology.

Glad it's all over now.

5. I have recently discovered how to use gifs and I'm pretty much obsessed. Please forgive me as I get them out of my system. 

 

 

Weekend Update Y'all!

Friday

I love a lazy night at home, and that's exactly what we had Friday night. We watched People Like Us, and it was really good! I would definitely recommend it!

Saturday

We ran some errands and laid around the house all day. We watched Jeff Who Lives at Home, and I would definitely suggest not watching it. It was pretty bad in my opinion.

Saturday night was my work Christmas party--yes, accountants can have fun too!

Sunday

Sweet baby Emerson was dedicated at church Sunday morning, and after the ceremony, we had a yummy lunch with family and friends.

I am seriously so very thankful for April & her hubs. We have been so blessed to have friends that have taken us in like family of their own ever since we moved here. Love you guys!

Sunday night, we watched Dexter and also suffered withdrawals from no Revenge this week. Dexter is seriously heating up. The previews for next week are looking intense!

And finally...here's how I feel about the fact that today is Monday...

Christmas Gift Wrapping

Get ready for shock and awe. 

I have taken two pins and combined them to create another pinworthy (if I do say so myself) holiday idea. 

Here's the backstory on my thought process.

I am awful at making pretty bows, so Christmas time is always kind of tricky. 

Everyone knows that at every dirty santa gathering, the items that are wrapped the prettiest are the first to be picked. 

I would never in a million years be the first kid in PE to get picked, so I at least want my gift to be picked first.

So how do I wrap pretty without a bow?

JK Rowling vs Justin Cronin

 Everyone knows who JK Rowling is, and I couldn't wait to read her new book "The Casual Vacancy." 

Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

Let's just say I've never been more happy to finish a book.

I didn't like this book at all.

The entire book was depressing.

Even the ending was upsetting.

I wouldn't tell you not to read the book, but at least don't spend money to read the book. Borrow it from a library or a friend, and don't waste your money.

This book was ahhmazing! This is definitely a must read!
 There is going to be a trilogy I think, and the second book has already been released.

Weekend Update--Birthday Edition

Friday was my birthday, so I've been consuming lots of calories in celebration all weekend. 

It started out with a delicious steak dinner at Houston's with the hubs.

 

 

..and was followed up with some sweets at Muddy's.

If you are ever in the Memphis area, you must stop by Muddy's. You won't be disappointed.

Saturday morning, I made Rodney get up early with me to check out the Neiman Marcus reveal at Target. 

I came home with the Tory Burch thermos and lunchbox.

Totally didn't need either one of them, but you can't say no to cheap Tory!

 

I finally got around to decorating the tree. I put it up over a week ago and haven't actually decorated until now. More pics on that to come later in the week.

Just a PSA--I've found my style soul mate. 

Ever since I found Shanna's blog, I haven't been lusting over every. single. thing. she wears. 

A few weeks ago, she posted this picture below on the left, and I fell in love (as always). 

The sweater and shoes are Target, so it was just too easy to copy the look. 

See..my problem is that I can't put outfits together on my own. Some people look around at magazines and blogs and find inspiration.

Nope, not me. I don't ever get inspired. I just start lusting and decide I must have that exact outfit for myself. 

When I got into a store, I mannequin shop or get the salespeople to help me. I'm hopeless...even though I love shopping (and shop way more than I should).

Granted, I don't look near as cute as she does in the outfit. I didn't have a precious necklace and my white shirt doesn't hang quite the same way. 

I was just excited to finally wear a heart shirt without looking like a 12 year old. I had the most precious "birthday suit" ever. Thanks for showing my how Shanna!
