I must warn you that if feet gross you out, you may want to stop reading. This post has some pretty nasty feet pictures. You have been warned!
Also, the owner of the feet wishes to remain anonymous. For the record, it's not me. ha!
I'm linking up today Mythbusters style! I've seen this pin floating around quite a bit...

The caption on pinterest says that this will take off a layer of dead, dry skin, so I was very curious to see if it actually works.
Basically, you put a layer of shaving cream on your feet.
Take equal parts warm water and listerine.
Soak a towel in the liquid solution and wrap the towel around your feet.
Let is soak for 30 minutes.
Take off the towels and rub around the dry areas to rub off the dead skin.
Dry your feet.
Apply lotion.
Ingredients--I bought Kroger brand Listerine. I'm not about to spending money on the real stuff when this hasn't been tested!
Does it bother anyone else that this stuff claims to take off a layer of dead skin with the same stuff people use to clean their mouth? I'm definitely no dentist, but that just doesn't seem like it would be good for your teeth.
Foot before
You were warned! Yuck!
Soakin'
So, after I took He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's feet out of the towels, there was no layer of skin waiting to be rubbed off. It was pretty much the same effect as if you had soaked your feet in water for a while. No change. Very disappointing.
It was an overpowering smell of Listerine--like knock you down strong!
Since I'd already gone to all the trouble, I decided just to go ahead and get the foot file out to do some work.
And then I rubbed in some lotion.
Foot after--looks like a moisturized foot with cracks.
I definitely would not suggest anyone else doing this. Maybe these feet were just too far gone that there was no help for them. But you would think that at least some of the skin would come off. Oh well..live & learn.
Anyone have any ideas that actually work for a foot that looks as bad as this one?
