It's time for another literary junkies linkup!
Here are this month's questions:
1. Which book could you read over and over? Why?
I don't really like to re-read books, but I guess I would choose the Harry Potter series. I have a problem when I read where I get sooo excited to find out what happens that I read at a supersonic pace. I'm so impatient! I have to know what's going to happen! There are so many intricacies to the HP books, I'm sure I would discover a lot that I missed the first time around. (oops!)
2. If you could be any character from any book you've read, who would you be?
Rebecca Bloomwood from the Shopaholic series. She's got a hottie husband and shops all the time. Sounds wonderful, right? :)

3. Do you ever put a book down because you just can't get into it? Or do you stick it out to the bitter end? Any examples?
It just depends on the book. I started reading Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close, and it was terrible. I would never make my worst enemy read this book. This is one I didn't finish.
I actually finished The Casual Vacancy even though it was terrible. I wish I had put it down instead of wasting my time, but you can never tell if a book will turn around or not. Rowling had already proved herself as an author, so I thought she could redeem herself. It didn't happen.
4. Show us your book shelves! Do you have one designated spot in your house for all your books? Do you scatter them around?
Most of my books are now kindle books, but the majority of my "real" books are still at home with my parents. Here are the only books we have in my home.

Most of them are Rodney's books. You can see this is a work in progress since half these picture frames are empty. ha!
Got to get back to my Bachelor watching! :) Hope everyone is having a great week!

I'm watching The Bachelor too! So good! BTW: i'm pretty sure I saw that book, "Girls in White Dresses" at Goodwill this weekend.
Hi Rachel! Surprisingly, I have not read any of the HP books but have seen all of the movies...considering how much I love to read I shouldn't have done this by now. I guess I figured it would be pointless now, what do you think?!?
I like your book shelf setup as well, it looks so inviting!
I'm co-hosting "Tell Me About it Tuesday" and found you through your link! Thanks for joining in!
THANK YOU! Girls in white dresses was SO SO BAD. Seriously, the worst book I've ever read. I kept reading for it to get good, and then it just ended...SO bad.
I am the same way with you on Harry Potter - I finished each one in a day (nerd alert?) so when I re-read them slower I discovered how much I missed! There are so many details in there.
I have never read Harry Potter! Oh the shame!
Haha I said Casual Vacancy, too!
LOVE your bookshelf! It's soooo pretty!
Thanks for linking up!
Wow! Your bookshelf is super duper clean!
And I am definitely staying away from Girls in White Dresses... Shame the cover is so cute! :D
And Casual Vacancy is awful. I think I gotta sit out in the twitter convo this month... There is no way I can finish it. :D
hi new follower! i'm a big reader too and also love the harry potter series!! i'm disappointed that you said the casual vacancy was bad - how sad. i also have trouble putting down a "bad book" but i've gotten better at it. i hate wasting my time on something i don't like!

I'm a pretty quick reader too (more like impatient...ha!). I want to get to the end so fast cause I want to know what happens!
I'm moving slow through The Casual Vacancy myself...I don't understand why she had to basically talk over her readers. Really, writing a book doesn't need to be this hard. What happened to the Harry Potter writing style?? ha! Thanks for linking up!
Okay, your bookshelf is my favorite! And i didn't finish girls in white dresses either!!
Can you please come make my shelves look that pretty?! I honestly think I missed the decorating gene when I was born haha
I read all the Harry Potter books twice right off the bat because I read them too quickly to get all the little stuff. It was a must particularly for the last one. I wasn't really sure how everything had worked out in the battle at the end because I'd just read way too fast. I'm struggling through The Casual Vacancy, so far I'm disappointed but I keep hoping it will kind of be like The Host with Stephanie Meyer, I liked Twilight so I gave it a shot, it started off slow & awful but was great in the end.
I re-read The Hunger Games trilogy! Those are the only books I've ever re-read. No matter how much I love a book, I usually don't read it a second time.
I found you through Tell Me About It Tuesday!

I actually read all the way through Girls in White Dresses. There's one part at the very end that involves tequila & possible pregnancies that made almost the entire book worth it for me. If you still have it try to flip back to just that part! It reminded me so much of something my friends would do!
I found your blog through Tell Me About It Tuesday. I am bulldog (UGA style, not Mississippi State) but I had some good friends at Ole Miss!
it seems like most people did NOT like the casual vacancy... i'm still on the holds list at the library so we'll see when i actually get it.

Love your bookshelf decor! I never did getting around to reading the Harry potter books, I'm embarrassed. That is hilarious that you said Rebecca Bloomwoos. I was just talking to Shane a couple days ago about that. I think we have a lot in common and I love Isla Fisher! Lol.
I've been thinking about re-reading Harry Potter too! i read it way too fast the first time.

Yeah I reread every Harry Potter book before the movie of the book came our.
I keep hearing such negative things about The Casual Vacancy that I have no desire to ruin my opinion of JK Rowling by reading it. I'd rather just live in my little Harry Postter fantasy world ;)
Visiting from the link-up!
oh, your bookshelves are super cute! and I very rarely read a book twice either :/
xoxo, Amy @ Interpret As You May
Rachel-I hated that book too!! love your blog--glad we found you!
I put The Casual Vacancy down. I just couldn't get into it. Love all the Shopaholic books!
Oh, and I'm I found you through the Memphis Bloggers on FB. :)
