Anything involving books, sign me up. When I saw another book swap coming up, I knew I had to be a part of it!
There are a few pre-swap linkups going on, so I thought I'd join in.

5 Books Every Young Woman Should Read
The Glass Castle - Jeannette Walls
This isn't just a suggestion for young women. Everyone should read this book. Her story really opens your eyes to other people's problems. When you feel like you're having a bad day and want to complain, read this book for a little perspective.

Stephanie Plum series - Janet Evanovich

This is the perfect book for an easy read. This series will leave you laughing so hard!
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - Ann Brashares

Ok..ok..I know..I know. I haven't actually read this book in years. When I read this book, I remember being so taken by the friendships these girls had. And yes, I was also amazed that they could all wear the same pair of jeans, but that's besides the point.

Mark of the Lion series - Francine Rivers

The first book of this series took a few chapters for me to get into it. There were quite a few weird foreign names, and I couldn't keep everyone straight. After getting past the first little bit, I could not put these books down. They love story and familial story draw you in. This book does not disappoint.

The Forgotten Garden - Kate Morton

I would be remiss if I didn't include this book. I just finished it this weekend, and I'm obsessed. It is definitely a must read.

I loved the Glass Castle. It was pretty great. I found myself laughing and crying a bunch while reading it.

I think "The Glass Castle" is an amazing pic. I read it and though my life was different, there were moments that felt like they were similar to my experiences growing up. If I had read it when I was younger, it would have provided so much hope! Great choices all around!

The Glass Castle was an enjoyable read. I appreciated her vulnerability and honesty about herself. I have also read the sisterhood books and added the other three recommendations to my wish list.

Thank you for sharing!

I absolutely LOVE The Glass Castle. I have Half-Broke Horses sitting on my nightstand waiting for me to get to it.

I am also an Evanovich fan, I just wish she would wrap up the damn love story!

I loved the Glass Castle as well!! Shockingly, I have not read The Sisterhood series, but maybe I'll put it on my to-read list for this summer! :)
